5 Ingredients and less than 15 Minutes; Doug McNish Delivers the next level of Kale Greatness!
We’ve grown it, We’ve harvested it, we’ve even been known to distribute it to our friends, but this great green leaf has never been better and more tasty! That’s right, tonight we had the opportunity to meet in an intimate setting and taste some of Doug McNish’s great creations from his newest Book, Raw, Quick & Delicious! At this small venue along his “Organically Local Book Tour” at ecoexistence (766 St. Clair West), we were treated to two great recipes. The first was the hors d’oeuvre awaiting our arrival. I can’t share a recipe, but I can tell you that before tonight Kale chips to me were good, but these new Kale snacks (to me), Sour Cream and Onion flavoured, were completely over the top. Doug McNish went on to demonstrate his Sweet-and-Sour-Kale salad and in its’ simplicity, was clearly a winner. With five ingredients and just a few minutes, this combination of Red Bell Pepper (Finely Sliced), Cold-pressed (Extra virgin) olive oil, Unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar, Fine Sea Salt and Raw Agave Nectar was a true pleaser!
