Caes The Day! Kickstart Your Summer with Canada’s Signature Cocktail on National Caesar Day

It’s almost that time of year again! We’re looking to the sun-soaked afternoons spent by the pool, willfully trading in our winter jackets for a pair of sunnies and a T-Shirt. With National Caesar Day just around the corner, renowned Canadian bartender Dominick Feragola (Kasa Moto, Soho House) created a series of amazing Caesar in honour of the occasion.

Hope you’re inspired this week to savour some zesty drinks!

 

Take the Bait:

For the seafood lover, Dominick expertly incorporates seafood into a classic Caesar, which he aptly named ‘Take the Bait’.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Vodka (like Crystal Head or Iceberg Vodka)
  • 2 Dashes Hot Sauce
  • 2 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Dashes of Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1 oz. Clam Nectar
  • 3 oz. Mott’s Clamato
  • Garnish with Shrimp Skewer

Method:

Rim glass with celery salt and add all ingredients to an ice-filled glass. Stir and garnish with Shrimp Skewer.

 

Sage the Day:

Cool off with this soft and savoury Caesar recipe perfect for warm, summer days and evenings by the campfire.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Vodka (like Crystal Head or Iceberg Vodka)
  • 6 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 4 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 oz. Mott’s Clamato
  • Sage for Garnish, rim with celery salt

Method: 

Rim glass with Celery Salt and add all ingredients to a glass filled with ice. Stir, garnish with sage leaves and serve.

 

Berry White:

Infuse a little soul into your Caesar by using ingredients such as blackberries and lemon to compliment the peppery tasting notes in this Caesar.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Vodka (like Crystal Head or Iceberg Vodka)
  • 5 Blackberries
  • 2 Lemon Wedges
  • 2 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 5 Grinds fresh cracked black pepper
  • 4 oz. Mott’s Clamato
  • Celery Salt for Garnish

Method:

Rim a glass with celery salt, then add all ingredients to ice-filled glass. Stir well to mix, and garnish with blackberries.

 

Sweet Heat:

Dominick pays homage to the fiery Sweet Heat in this delicious cocktail that comes with the first few rays of the hot summer sun.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Vodka (like Crystal Head or Iceberg Vodka)
  • 1 Tbs Sweet Chili Sauce
  • ½ Tsp Sriracha Hot Sauce
  • 1 Dash Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Dashes Fresh Cracked Salt and Black Pepper
  • 4 oz. Mott’s Clamato Extra Spicy
  • Garnish with Chicken Skewer

Method:

Rim glass with celery salt and add all ingredients to an ice-filled glass.  Stir and garnish with a skewer of sweet chili chicken.
