Come to the Cabaret ! And feed Toronto’s homeless June 12th at Wychwood Open Door

June 1, 2015 – TORONTO – Support this fundraising Cabaret for a good cause featuring some of Toronto’s most talented performers: Friday, June 12th from 7 to 9.30 p.m., The Sanctuary at St. Matthews United Church, 729 St. Clair Avenue West. cabaretVertical Wychwood Open Door provides many services for homeless and socially isolated people living in the St. Clair West area.  Most importantly, they offer a safe and reliable space for members of the community; those who attend receive both a warm meal and a warm welcome, three days a week. In recent years, the number of meals Wychwood Open Door serves in a year has increased to over 15,000, meaning more revenue is needed to continue this essential work. This fabulous Cabaret will include some of Toronto’s most popular entertainers: Latin singer Amanda Martinez; lead singer of the Flying Bulgar Klezmer band, David Wall; show tunes with Mary Pitts; bellydancer Roula Said; folk duo William and Polly; jazz singer Maureen Kennedy; classical guitarist Ross Au; and magician Dan Trommater.
