The glass bottled collection includes eight cold-pressed juices, four handmade nut milks, and four power shots created not only for their intense healthful benefits but also for their delicious palate.

One bottle of Fresh Cold Pressed Juice contains approximately three pounds, or 10 servings, of raw fresh produce. About Ruth Tal, founder of Fresh Restaurants and Juice Bars:
At the age of twenty-five, after traveling the world for seven years, Ruth Tal returned to Toronto intending to attend university. Instead, after tasting her first glass of carrot juice and being inspired by the growing trend of juice bars and healthy eating south of the border, Tal embarked on a mission to challenge the stereotype that vegan food was bland or boring and established the notion that it’s ‘hip’ to be healthy.

Tal created Juice for Life, a seasonal fresh-pressed juice bar, with the first location opening at the famed Bamboo Club patio in 1992. As her small business grew, she moved to a permanent location, across from the CityTV building. In 1995 Tal opened her first 50-seat vegan restaurant and juice bar on Bloor Street, and in 1998 she opened the 60-seat Queen Street Café location.

By 1999, the company had outgrown its name, and Juice for Life was re-invented as Fresh. By 2013, there were four bustling modern architecturally designed Fresh locations in Toronto.

In 2012, Tal and her partners brought the popular Fresh concept of healthy eating to Moscow, Russia making it a global brand. Encouraged by its’ breakthrough success, a second 80-seat location opened in July 2014, as well as a summer “pop-up” juice bar in Gorky Park. Fresh Moscow was recently voted Best New Restaurant in Moscow and the first of its’ kind to offer 100 per cent biodegradable takeaway containers and a non-smoking environment.

Tal has consulted for other like-minded entrepreneurs around the world, drawing on her 20 plus years of experience in the natural food, juice, vegan and vegetarian restaurant industry. In 2010 she helped launch a new organic restaurant concept in Mexico City. She is currently working on the development, design and build of the first Fresh location in Mexico City due to open in summer 2015 and is preparing to open a spin-off concept to Fresh, called LOV by Fresh, with the first location ready to open in Montreal this winter.

In keeping with her philosophy of sharing her knowledge and inspiring people to eat well and juice at home, Tal has co-authored four National best-selling vegan cookbooks (Juice for Life: Modern Food Luscious Juice, 2000; Fresh at Home: Everyday Vegetarian Cooking, 2004; ReFresh: Contemporary Vegan Recipes, 2008; Fresh: New Vegetarian and Vegan Recipes, 2011.) She is currently co-writing the fifth Fresh cookbook of vegan food and juicing recipes, SUPERFRESH, with an emphasis on the new trend of “cold-pressed” juices that will be released in summer 2015.
