Hooked on Books: Travel the World this Summer with Kids’ Books – #teachmetuesday By Joanne Sallay

With summer vacation on the horizon, school will become a distant memory for students. While the classrooms will soon be vacant, the learning does not need to stop. One of the most popular recommendations from teachers for the summer is to read. Whether your kids are enjoying some time at home, heading off to camp, or packing up for a family holiday, there are countless books to keep them company.

The secret is to make reading exciting and tap into interesting subjects. In the spirit of summer, my topic of choice is travel. For all the young explorers who want to discover the world, here are three books that deliver culture and adventure from the comfort of home.
