Midtown Toronto “Sparkle in the Village” Holiday Market
The first bricks-and-mortar project for A Bowl of Cherries, a collaboration helmed by sisters Sydney and Lesley Stoyan (founder of Toronto-based AppleTree Markets), takes place on Saturday December 2nd from 10am-4pm at 240 Manor Rd East in Manor Rd United Church in the form of a holiday market.
The sisters have carefully curated GTA vendors, selling everything from savoury pickles to fancy iced cookies to botanical terrariums to silk scarves, jewellery, and handbags, to fresh blooms and Christmas wreaths and handmade aprons and artisanal sweets, to small paintings and prints and holiday greeting cards.
A small café on site will sell seasonal cocktails and sandwiches; the kids’ café will sell apple cider and fresh-baked ginger cookies.
Admission to “Sparkle in the Village” Holiday Market is free.
The Mount Pleasant BIA also hosts its annual Christmas Fair on December 2nd, making the neighbourhood a destination spot for locals and visitors alike.
A Bowl of Cherries endeavours to make life just a little sweeter through food, drink, words, and wares.
Manor Rd United Church is easily accessible by TTC, and has ample street and lot parking.
