New Years Resolution: 3 Things You Should Do For Better Hair In 2015


The end of the year is a great time to look back at your accomplishments and to set new goals for your future. You aspirations may include traveling more, advancing your career, or starting a family, but you’ve probably forgotten all about your hair. Imagine how much better your year would be if you had pretty, shiny strands that were the envy of all of your friends. Sounds pretty good right? It’s easier than you think. With just a few small changes you can see big improvements in the health and beauty of your mane. Here is 3 ways you can give your hair a great year.

1. Stop buying cheap products. You probably know that drug store shampoo is full of harsh sulfates and that cheap hairspray will leave your strands dry and crunchy, so why submit to them? Throw away every product you bought at a drug store. It will be tough at first, but so worth it.

2. Don’t put off your haircuts. It can be easy to push back your cut for an extra week, or two, or four, but the longer you wait between salon visits the further your split ends spread up the strand, meaning that more hair needs to be removed. Visit your stylist every six weeks to ensure that your ends stay clean and healthy.

3. Treat yourself on the weekends. Sundays are a great day for sleeping in, eating a decadent brunch, and giving your hair a deep conditioning treatment. Make weekly treatments a part of your routine and you’ll see big improvements in shine and manageability.
