Oakwood Village Home of Oakwood Espresso Hippest Café North of St. Clair West

By Barbara Indriliunas Snow

Authentic French croissants from Pain Perdu. Assorted flavours of just– baked scones from Baker and Scone. The crunch of homemade Italian Biscotti and Amoretti from Josie’s Cookies. And, of course fresh espresso or a latte.

The parents from the local schools have already found this spot and declared owner Tony Cavaliere and Oakwood Espresso, the hippest coffee bar north of St Clair.

Tony makes sure those parents and anyone else who stops by has their morning jolt of java or afternoon relaxing cuppa. There is always fresh lemon water available from the glass decanter and the baked goodies are a surprisingly delicious extra indulgence.

Tony is there every day between 7:30 am and 5 pm (except Mondays) and 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Oakwood Espresso is a cool, trendy addition to the Oakwood Village hood. The marble counter top, the cool copper espresso machines he collects…

The odd pics and wall hangings that friends from the hood are adding to the café…

Check out that old pic of Tony’s Dad!

And Tony even fixes espresso machines!

Pop by, grab a coffee and just sit on the adorable bench outside to watch the world go by or at a window seat inside and have a conversation with Tony and get to know a neighbourhood legend in the making.
