Style How To: Turn Your Summer Staples Into New Fall Uniforms

Odds are that by the end of summer you’ve settled into a few favourite pieces that are in heavy rotation.  However, the back-to-school switch up doesn’t mean you have to abandon your summer faves. We worked with lifestyle blogger and mom of three boys, Maya Fitzpatrick of, to create three new fall outfit formulas that start with a summer staple and end in go-to looks that get you out the door before anyone can say ‘mom, have you seen my backpack’?.


The Fall Fix:  Swap out your jean shorts for actual jeans. Layer up with a sleeveless vest.

Style Tip: Come cooler weather, make the vest a moto jacket.

The Fall Fix:  No such thing as no white after labour day! Add plaid and you’re good to go.
